What are Abba’s Pow­er­ful and Mys­te­ri­ous Ways? “Abba,” a respect­ful term for Father in Heav­en, which means “Dad­dy.” Have you ever won­dered how Abba oper­ates in our every­day lives? To start, I invite you to to share in a glimpse into my life to illus­trate how Father works in pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways. This will include snap­shots of my expe­ri­ences and trans­la­tions of the super­nat­ur­al into rel­e­vant, tan­gi­ble con­cepts.

Recent­ly, I had an expe­ri­ence that clear­ly demon­strat­ed how, through His lov­ing guid­ance, Father led me on this writ­ing jour­ney. His gen­tle nudges encour­aged me to observe the world around me and pen down my thoughts. His influ­ence ignit­ed a pro­found sense of con­nec­tion with­in me and a strong desire to write. These feel­ings inten­si­fied, inspir­ing me to delve into a mul­ti­tude of top­ics and lev­els of under­stand­ing, weav­ing them togeth­er like a delight­ful fla­vor of ice cream or a mag­nif­i­cent bowl of but­ton soup

Mysterious Ways: The Beginning

This swirling soup illus­trates how Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways can man­i­fest in my life. From this foun­da­tion, the mys­tery begins to unfold, as I cur­rent­ly have no idea where this arti­cle will take us. As a result, I am quite excit­ed about the adven­ture that lies ahead, and I can feel the excite­ment and antic­i­pa­tion ris­ing with­in my soul. Indeed, the sky is the lim­it of these pow­er­ful mys­ter­ies, since I nev­er know what Father has in store for us. Per­haps most remark­ably, is that I get to be a writer for the Cre­ator of the Uni­verse. Ulti­mate­ly, it is tru­ly a joy for me to learn these cool new things, and I hope it inspires you as well.

Often, how­ev­er, along with Abba’s mighty pow­er comes a lit­tle inter­fer­ence. Through repeat­ed expe­ri­ences, I’ve learned to see this as a challenge—a test of my deter­mi­na­tion. For instance, even when my word proces­sor becomes lag­gy and annoy­ing, I push through. It’s a pat­tern I’ve noticed: when­ev­er I have some­thing impor­tant to do for the King­dom of God, my elec­tron­ic devices glitch. Inter­est­ing­ly, this does­n’t hap­pen when I want to play a video game or browse the inter­net. Clear­ly, Abba has been prepar­ing me for this moment, and the ene­my’s attempts to dis­tract and annoy me only fuel my deter­mi­na­tion to over­come and embark on the mys­te­ri­ous adven­ture ahead.

Let’s Annoy the Darkness

It has been quite a while since I have writ­ten any­thing of great length.  The weight of my words is pal­pa­ble, and I can feel the impor­tance of my writ­ing as it assaults the realm of dark­ness. I often asked myself why the dark world puts so much effort into try­ing to dis­tract me or stop me.  I con­clud­ed that they must be ter­ri­fied of my writ­ing since they are try­ing so hard to pre­vent me from accom­plish­ing this task at hand. Nev­er in his­to­ry did the dark realm want us to receive enlight­en­ment from the Ruach Ha’Qodesh. 

When I start to see a pat­tern of dis­trac­tions and obsta­cles, I may get frus­trat­ed, but ulti­mate­ly, I view it as con­fir­ma­tion that I am on the right path. This boosts my con­fi­dence and moti­vates me to work hard­er, ensur­ing Abba’s mes­sages reach the world. Abba’s insight and wis­dom are pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous.  The growth and devel­op­ment which result, cre­ate fear with­in the ene­my ranks. Indeed, Abba’s rev­e­la­tions invoke fear with­in the ene­mies camp as they bring about their destruc­tion, a tes­ta­ment to our spir­i­tu­al tri­umph.

Being led by the Holy Spirit

So now I’m try­ing to sift through this swirling data­base with­in my thoughts to deter­mine a place to start.  I will do my best to accu­rate­ly por­tray how Father, through the Holy Spir­it, inter­acts with me and leads me. I want to con­vey that “Through­out my life.”, Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways have been present. My task has been to explore these pro­found mys­ter­ies and share them with the world around me, so that you, too, may expe­ri­ence the divine pres­ence in your own jour­ney.

Let’s start here, a few days ago, I was deal­ing with a lot of pain and grief. This pain was a direct result of past changes to the dynam­ics of my fam­i­ly. The final out­come includ­ed lim­it­ed vis­i­ta­tion, par­tial sum­mer vaca­tions, and two weeks of school breaks each year. This was nev­er enough time.

Facing Difficulties

As sum­mer vaca­tion had just come to a close, I once again had to face the empti­ness that always fol­lows these vis­its. I start with a deep ques­tion­ing of my pur­pose end­ing with a crit­i­cal reeval­u­a­tion of every aspect of my life.This occurs every Sep­tem­ber as I send my chil­dren back. This atro­cious process of “los­ing” them is always excru­ci­at­ing.  It doesn’t mat­ter that I know it is com­ing; it’s a painful adjust­ment for every­one.

Every year when they have to go back, my heart breaks and my soul cries out in hor­rif­ic pain.  It takes me a hot minute to adjust my life back to the qui­et. It is a pain so over­pow­er­ing that it is impos­si­ble to describe ade­quate­ly.  I am sure that very few peo­ple in my real, in-per­son life can ful­ly under­stand what my heart endures at this junc­ture. 

It’s not nec­es­sary to ful­ly under­stand this; sim­ply rec­og­nize that every­one expe­ri­ences pain that oth­ers may not ful­ly com­pre­hend. Although these moments feel painful, Father trans­forms them into oppor­tu­ni­ties that teach valu­able skills and fos­ter per­son­al growth. Return­ing to the sto­ry, I often used hyper-focus­ing as a cop­ing mech­a­nism. When I con­cen­trat­ed on some­thing out­side of my cir­cum­stances, it helped my heart hard­en off**—you know, kind of cure itself—**so it was­n’t so ten­der in that area.  Dur­ing this time, I began to feel the call­ing to write this.

Small but Mighty Messages

The next morn­ing, my first morn­ing with­out my chil­dren, I received a text. It con­tained a YouTube video dis­cussing the verse, “Jesus wept.” While I could relate to the sen­ti­ment, hav­ing done some weep­ing myself, I didn’t find the video very rel­e­vant to my sit­u­a­tion. I some­what dis­missed it and con­tin­ued with my day.

Lat­er, I talked with a friend about the pas­sage refer­ring to “Jesus Wept”. Inter­est­ing­ly enough, this ran­dom top­ic appeared again. The top­ic shift­ed, I relayed to my friend how I kept see­ing the num­ber sequence of 333. As a result of the con­ver­sa­tion, I was led to tell anoth­er friend about it, too. I end­ed up send­ing her a screen­shot of the num­bers I had seen. It’s just a thing we do.  It showed up next to my friend’s name on the lock screen of my phone.  This stirred some­thing in my heart. So much so that I felt com­pelled to tell my first friend about it.   

Jesus Wept

Lat­er that evening, I found myself alone and decid­ed to scroll through my Face­book feed. Well, the first post I came across was only two words!!  “Jesus Wept.”  The third time got my com­plete atten­tion.  I knew that Abba was indeed send­ing me a mes­sage, a pow­er­ful one.  The clar­i­ty of the mes­sage remained a mys­tery to me. Here is anoth­er exam­ple of Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways. 

I already knew Jesus wept was the short­est verse in the Bible. I ques­tioned why I was being remind­ed about the pas­sage “Jesus Wept” today? It was so com­pelling that I began to study the sto­ry of Lazarus, the rea­son Jesus wept. I read this in John chap­ter 11.

Mysterious Messages in Number Groups

As I read through the text, Father revealed a mes­sage to me that filled me with excite­ment. Remem­ber the 333 we dis­cussed ear­li­er? While I was read­ing John chap­ter 11, verse 11, my friend mes­saged me at 11:11pm in response to that 333. She then shared that 333 is relat­ed to occu­py­ing the promised land.

This was some great news.  I had been strug­gling with a sit­u­a­tion, and this seemed to be Father’s answer, a direct con­nec­tion between the text and my per­son­al sit­u­a­tion.  This was a pow­er­ful rev­e­la­tion to me, a moment of divine inter­ven­tion.  All prais­es to my King of Kings, my true love, my hope, and my sal­va­tion!

The way all the mes­sages came to me was not by acci­dent. If it had­n’t hap­pened exact­ly that way, I might not have noticed Abba’s pow­er and mys­te­ri­ous plan.  I then asked Father to show me exact­ly what He was try­ing to teach me.  I told Him, “You’ve got my atten­tion!”

Unique expe­ri­ences start­ed to unfold over the next few days. It all began with a series of mes­sage exchanges. I recalled the mes­sages I had exchanged with a new friend, prompt­ing me to review all my recent com­mu­ni­ca­tions. Some of these mes­sages were uplift­ing and pow­er­ful. As a result, I feel com­pelled to share with you some of these encour­ag­ing words.

Walking in Obedience

First, the series of mes­sages inspired me to fol­low my dream of becom­ing a full-time writer. Next, the mes­sages remind­ed me of a heart­felt moment when my grand­moth­er, whom I lov­ing­ly refer to as Mimi, called me near the end of her life. Dur­ing this last phone call, she made me promise to get my writ­ing pub­lished. In essence, I made a promise to my grand­ma to ful­fill this dream. As a result of these mem­o­ries, I want­ed to begin writ­ing again.

Mimi had told me sev­er­al times that the gift Father had giv­en me was not meant for my edi­fi­ca­tion, but for the edi­fi­ca­tion of Father’s cre­ation. Fur­ther­more, she said it was self­ish of me to keep Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways all to myself. Ini­tial­ly, I had not looked at it from that per­spec­tive. How­ev­er, as I reflect­ed on her words, I knew deep in my soul it was the truth. This truth revealed how self­less­ness deep­ens our under­stand­ing of Father’s ways.

Talk­ing with my friend renewed my pas­sion for writ­ing and remind­ed me of the promise I made to my Mimi. I real­ized that I had only made a few attempts towards my goal of pub­lish­ing, but I had­n’t worked on it with all my heart. After 18 years of floun­der­ing, I knew I had to step up to the plate.

We have to do the work

Then Father said that it was very impor­tant for me to under­stand what was being said in John 11:11. I asked Father why it was so impor­tant.  He said to me that there was a rela­tion­ship that I thought was dead, that He intend­ed to res­ur­rect.  I was like ohhh real­ly?? 

This made me pon­der my cur­rent jour­ney with Yahshua, I real­ized Father was tak­ing a new approach with me. More­over, I do love how dynam­ic my rela­tion­ship with Yahshua is.  There­fore, I have learned by now that I nev­er real­ly know what is com­ing next. This is a repeat­ing pat­tern in my life.

For exam­ple, There was a sea­son in my life, when my back was against the wall with no way out. I could not fig­ure a way out, not even with my wildest imag­i­na­tion. I then pro­ceed­ed to hear in my mind, “I will part the Red sea for you!” Excite­ment and hope surged through me! I could­n’t wait to see what Yah was going to do next.

Then it hap­pened, nine months lat­er He part­ed the sea with­in my sit­u­a­tion and made a way for me where there was no way. Abba made the impos­si­ble became pos­si­ble, as I wit­nessed life-giv­ing mir­a­cles, heal­ings, and bless­ings. This has been a con­tin­u­ing and beau­ti­ful pat­tern in my life demon­strat­ing Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways.

Experiencing Abba’s Power

 My walk of inti­ma­cy with Yahshua has been heart­felt and pow­er­ful. Through­out my jour­ney, I con­tin­ue dis­cov­er­ing Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways. Some­times I find myself in his lov­ing arms for a slow dance; oth­er times, we run for our lives togeth­er. Occa­sion­al­ly, we sit in the gar­den in a lit­tle break­fast like nook I built for Him and have tea while I tell Yahshua about my day. At oth­er times, I am on the floor cry­ing my eyes out while he gen­tly catch­es my tears in a bot­tle. One thing is for sure: my amaz­ing adven­tures with Abba nev­er stop, and they are nev­er ordi­nary.

 My lat­est instruc­tions remained, and I was to be alert and aware.  Abba need­ed me to stay alert by tak­ing notes on con­ver­sa­tions, being mind­ful of how I spent my time, lis­ten­ing to the Holy Spir­it, and read­ing scrip­tures as instruct­ed. Walk­ing in obe­di­ence sim­pli­fied my life to hear­ing and obey­ing

We are the Clay, Not the Potter 

 I was remind­ed that we are mere­ly the art­work.  What paint­ing can brag about its very exis­tence?  Can that paint­ing say I am so beau­ti­ful because of what I have done?  It sure­ly can­not.  Its design comes from out­side of itself.  It can­not, there­fore, boast of how it appears. 

We are all unique paint­ings, craft­ed by our cre­ator, the great artist. Indeed, noth­ing about us was born of our abil­i­ties. Instead, Yahshua designed all that we are, what we can do, and how we look. Fur­ther­more, our unique­ness and self-will are demon­stra­tions of Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways. There­fore, we can­not brag or put our­selves down. Sim­i­lar­ly, we should not com­pare our­selves with oth­ers. After all, we were all cre­at­ed with a unique pur­pose. Con­se­quent­ly, we should nev­er insult our cre­ator by com­plain­ing, nor should we allow our­selves to get puffed up with pride.

Listening is a Skill

We must first real­ize that we have inten­tion­al design. This real­iza­tion brings a pro­found sense of peace and clar­i­ty, ulti­mate­ly sim­pli­fy­ing our lives. Next, we need to devel­op the skill of lis­ten­ing to the Holy Spir­it. Indeed, Scrip­ture tells us that His sheep know His voice and they fol­low Him. More­over, it is clear­ly expressed in Scrip­ture that as His chil­dren, we should always lis­ten to and obey the lead­ing of the Holy Spir­it.

As we mature in our faith, we can devel­op the abil­i­ty to lis­ten for instruc­tions moment by moment. For instance, one valu­able prin­ci­ple is that with­out new instruc­tions, when all is silent, we should con­tin­ue fol­low­ing the last instruc­tion until a new one is giv­en. Through these expe­ri­ences, I have learned to enact these pat­terns of behav­ior con­sis­tent­ly. There­fore, this is why I strive to live my life this way.

Abba’s Powerful and Mysterious Ways Manifesting through Divine Interventions

Over the next four days, Abba brought new insights through many divine­ly led con­ver­sa­tions. I gained fresh insight through these pow­er­ful inter­ac­tions, what hap­pens next is mind-blow­ing.

This mys­te­ri­ous thing hap­pened with my Microsoft Word pro­gram. I often have a few files to the left in the auto-save sec­tion. I fre­quent­ly instruct the pro­gram to keep them there until next time. This time, I felt com­pelled to “clean it up,” so I looked into it.  Nor­mal­ly, I don’t have the time or the desire to bring each one of them up and “han­dle” them. These files had been in the auto-save sec­tion for eight months.  Yikes, I couldn’t believe how time passed so quick­ly. 

What I found in those files was remark­able, it was an arti­cle I had been work­ing on and com­plete­ly for­got about. Iron­i­cal­ly, it was about the same top­ic that had been recent­ly brought to my atten­tion. I don’t remem­ber who the con­ver­sa­tion had been with which sparked my writ­ing project. It was hard for me to believe how com­plete­ly I had for­got­ten about it. While read­ing this arti­cle, I real­ized Abba want­ed me to include this here.

Instructions and Obedience

Do you see how Father works with me? First, Father ensures that every­thing is care­ful­ly cal­cu­lat­ed. As a result, every­thing he instructs me to do has a pur­pose and prop­er tim­ing. Here is an exam­ple: The Holy Spir­it asked me to buy some­thing I did­n’t think I need­ed. Obe­di­ent­ly, I bought it any­way. Years lat­er, I found it when I des­per­ate­ly need­ed it and had no resources. Clear­ly, every­thing Father was doing was cal­cu­lat­ed and was ben­e­fit­ing me!

Just a cou­ple of days ago, I want­ed to work with some pic­tures.  When I ordered them, I felt com­pelled to pur­chase a few of them in sizes larg­er than usu­al. This order con­sist­ed of 3 5x7s, one 8x10, and numer­ous 4x6 prints.  I want­ed to buy some pic­ture frames for the wall, my funds were lim­it­ed, and the Holy Spir­it told me not to pur­chase and frames.

Upon arriv­ing back home, I was led to look in my garage only to find pic­ture frames for the exact pic­ture sizes I had ordered. Do you see how Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways man­i­fest in my life? Sev­er­al years ear­li­er, I was direct­ed to pick these frames up at a thrift store inex­pen­sive­ly. Although I won­dered why, I obeyed nonethe­less. Lat­er, I saw them and won­dered why I was hold­ing on to them with an under­ly­ing knowl­edge that I still need­ed them.

Purpose in Everything

Well, Father used them as a healthy ther­a­py for me.  It was ful­fill­ing to look through the pic­tures of my loved ones and cre­ate a col­lage with them all in it. This helped me work through my emo­tions of grief and loss.  I remem­bered all the good times I had this sum­mer.  Some­how, this expe­ri­ence helped me appre­ci­ate what Abba had giv­en me, even though they were gone for this sea­son.

I just want to remind you that this writ­ten work is an adven­tur­ous jour­ney in and of itself.  I usu­al­ly don’t write like this, but I’m fol­low­ing my father’s instruc­tions..  A per­fect snip­pet of Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways work­ing in my life. Just going with it is my act of obe­di­ence.  What’s next? Will Abba instruct me to para­chute out of an air­plane to the ground? My rela­tion­ship with Yahshua is dynam­ic and crazy like that!! Hehe­he!!

The Forgotten Article

Now, back to the arti­cle I began in Jan­u­ary of this year.  My study was based on James 3:8. This scrip­ture is about tam­ing the tongue.  I learned that while the Holy Spir­it can tame the tongue, no man is tru­ly capa­ble of this. Here are the words that were giv­en to me eight months ago.  They have been wait­ing for dis­tri­b­u­tion for long enough. 

Have you ever set out to study scrip­ture, only to find the one you are study­ing is a bit ordi­nary or extreme­ly famil­iar?  Well, that was me this evening!!  My trite-like atti­tude about this is embarrassing.These verse seemed coun­terindic­i­tave to the way Abba cre­at­ed me, ready and wait­ing for a new adven­ture with Him. Out of obe­di­ence I pressed on through what I called the mun­dane. I pro­ceed­ed to open my heart and mind with an atti­tude that was ready to learn.

      Much to my sur­prise, I was thrust into a sur­pris­ing new adven­ture after all. I nev­er have been let down when­ev­er I obey the lead­ing!!!  I usu­al­ly end up utter­ly mind-blown.  This les­son I learned was quite mul­ti­fac­eted, here is why.  First, I learned that you nev­er know what les­son you will be taught, regard­less of what, if any, pre­con­ceived notions you may have.  Sec­ond, I learned that unex­pect­ed gifts and trea­sures are all over the place, just wait­ing to be dis­cov­ered.  Third­ly, I found the pro­found val­ue of under­stand­ing the actu­al scrip­ture, feel­ing enlight­ened and empow­ered. 

Who Can Tame the Powerful and Mysterious Tongue

     This expe­ri­ence was so pro­found to me, I feel com­pelled to share this with you.  My prayer is that you would receive as many bless­ings from this study as I did. 

James 3:8 NASB

⁸ But no one among mankind can tame the tongue; it is a rest­less evil, full of dead­ly poi­son.

     At first glance, this scrip­ture seems quite self-explana­to­ry, doesn’t it?  Well, just wait!!  I was study­ing with a friend.  This friend shared with me what the Holy Spir­it revealed about this pas­sage of scrip­ture.  Here it is. 

  This scrip­ture indi­cates that we all strug­gle with our tongues. We encounter sit­u­a­tions dai­ly where we need to apply this verse. Con­se­quent­ly, neg­a­tiv­i­ty or dark­ness can eas­i­ly seep into our lives and real­i­ty.

Powerful and Mysterious Words of Darkness

This verse illus­trates the impor­tance of being ready to embrace grace and for­give­ness. It serves as a reminder that chal­leng­ing sit­u­a­tions will often arise in our every­day lives. This leads us to the ques­tion: how can we respond with grace and for­give­ness? What does it look like to apply this con­cept in our dai­ly lives?

First, I would like you to con­sid­er this state­ment.  “What a man says defines him!”  This is extra­or­di­nary in-depth wis­dom.  We need to be care­ful with the words that we use.  I believe words have the pow­er to bring life or death. Yahshua brought this world into exis­tence by speak­ing it.  What an amaz­ing demon­stra­tion of Father’s (Abba’s) pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways, which refers to the divine and often incom­pre­hen­si­ble nature of God’s actions.

Con­sid­er now again how pow­er­ful words are.  Now apply the con­struct to the state­ment “what a man says, defines him!”  We have tremen­dous pow­er with our words, and we must care­ful­ly choose these words as they will define us. Here is anoth­er demon­stra­tion of Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways.

Powerful and Mysterious Words of Life

Let’s start with a chal­lenge. My chal­lenge for you is to go for­ward from this day on, choos­ing to bring life every­where you go. With this choice, your words will con­sume the dark curs­es uttered by those who do not have a con­trolled tongue.  This self-con­trol will not only bless you but also trans­form your envi­ron­ment.

Fur­ther­more, we each pos­sess the capac­i­ty for extra­or­di­nary pow­er. The ques­tion is whether we will choose to devel­op this pow­er. Per­son­al­ly, I’ve decid­ed to embrace this pow­er. For exam­ple, I had a vision of my life-giv­ing words com­ing to life and swal­low­ing up all the spo­ken curs­es and the dark­ness that sur­round­ed them.

More­over, this vision defined for me how the words of life that I speak impact oth­ers. There­by, this under­stand­ing was burned into my essence, demand­ing that I main­tain self-con­trol at all times. Con­sid­er­ing this new­ly found wis­dom, let’s use this pow­er to trans­form the world around us into a bet­ter place, where light reigns supreme.

Indeed, more light brings forth more under­stand­ing, and it’s this under­stand­ing that has the pow­er to trans­form us, ulti­mate­ly lead­ing us to Father and His pro­found love. Don’t you yearn to expe­ri­ence Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways?

      I con­tin­ue to fol­low the instruc­tions that have been giv­en to me to write this arti­cle in the order that the words and con­cepts were revealed to me. This tru­ly is a pic­ture of how Father works in me and through me. You could expe­ri­ence Abba’s pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous ways as well.

The Battle of Our Words

       As a result of all that I have spo­ken upon already, all that has been swirling around in my spir­it and soul, and all the new things pop­ping into my head right now, I give you the assim­i­la­tion of the above and seem­ing­ly all that my jour­ney to Father has taught me thus far.

 The fol­low­ing is the cul­mi­na­tion of the past four days and beyond.  So here it is. Are you feel­ing lone­ly? I don’t even mean com­plete­ly with­out peo­ple around you, but I mean alone in essence.  Like, do peo­ple know who you are at the soul lev­el?  Or is it more like­ly that they know your façade?

Is that a Mask I see?

I won­der how many peo­ple tru­ly allow oth­ers to see their authen­tic selves. When indi­vid­u­als hide who they are, they’re essen­tial­ly liv­ing in a self-cre­at­ed fairy tale. This lack of gen­uine­ness can have seri­ous con­se­quences. As a result, many peo­ple end up respond­ing to and appre­ci­at­ing a ver­sion of “you” that isn’t real.

The prob­lem here is that all the accep­tance and acco­lades are for the façade, and there­fore, you real­ly can’t inter­nal­ize the accep­tance. This may ful­fill you for a lit­tle while, but in time, your soul will begin to cry out as it feels iso­lat­ed and alone.  Con­se­quent­ly, you can only lie to oth­ers and your­self for a short peri­od, then it will hit you where it hurts deep inside your soul.   

As a result of this false per­sona, any con­nec­tion that you think you have isn’t real.  This false con­nec­tion does­n’t inspire you to keep con­nect­ing at the super­fi­cial lev­el, caus­ing you to aban­don the idea of a true and mean­ing­ful rela­tion­ship as a pos­si­bil­i­ty. Final­ly, this altered per­sona that you are broad­cast­ing alters how you feel about oth­ers as well. 

In sum­ma­ry, you sense deep down that you know you are not being hon­est about your­self, and you are like­ly to sus­pect that oth­ers are not being hon­est about them­selves as well.  This lack of hon­esty pre­vents you from real­ly trust­ing any­one else, or any­one else trust­ing you. This brings about dis­il­lu­sion­ment about the whole social process. 

How Do We Connect?

Now that we under­stand the real­i­ty many peo­ple face, we can dis­cuss the con­se­quences of liv­ing inau­then­ti­cal­ly. When we are not true to our­selves, even with those clos­est to us, we lim­it our abil­i­ty to form gen­uine con­nec­tions with oth­ers.

The prob­lem is that Abba designed us for con­nec­tion. Our soul house struc­ture is fun­da­men­tal­ly built around this need to con­nect with oth­ers on many dif­fer­ent lev­els, and each of these con­nec­tion types is pow­er­ful and demands cau­tion.

Prayer offers one of the most pro­found ways to forge these bonds. When you pray reg­u­lar­ly with anoth­er per­son, you build a deep spir­i­tu­al con­nec­tion with them. Phys­i­cal inti­ma­cy cre­ates an equal­ly pow­er­ful bond, which is pre­cise­ly why we are warned against promis­cu­ous rela­tion­ships. Phys­i­cal con­nec­tions can cre­ate dan­ger­ous liaisons with peo­ple to whom we may not want to be soul-bound. When these con­nec­tions aren’t formed accord­ing to Father’s ways, they can cause more harm than good.”

Drop the Mysterious Facade!

In this mod­ern world, we are very des­per­ate for con­nec­tion.  The facade of per­fec­tion we present to oth­ers, the curat­ed images on social media, and the soci­etal pres­sure to con­form, I believe, are why it is so des­o­late and lone­ly for near­ly every­one these days. This façade opens doors to our soul, allow­ing demon­ic enti­ties to trav­el through.  These path­ways could be count­less and become an oppor­tu­ni­ty for dark­ness to sneak in with­out you even real­iz­ing it. So here we are, des­per­ate for a con­nec­tion, but we are unwill­ing to be vul­ner­a­ble and trust.  With­out trust, we can’t earn trust either.  I mean, seri­ous­ly, if there is a short­age of hon­esty, why would we trust? 

For Abba’s Sake Be Real!

As a result, we are all feel­ing the lack of con­nec­tion, a core human need, espe­cial­ly in this upside-down real­i­ty we live in. How do we bridge this gap and con­nect with oth­ers?  How do we find the courage to be our true selves and stop hid­ing behind a façade? 

We have become so afraid of being alone that we cre­ate a false world of being togeth­er.  In this false world, we are not con­nect­ing with oth­ers; we are just exist­ing in the same space, per­form­ing some of the same tasks or activ­i­ties. Soci­ol­o­gists call this Par­al­lel play. This lack of con­nec­tion cre­ates a void, mak­ing it impos­si­ble to express feel­ings and emo­tions.

Where did all the feelings go?

We were cre­at­ed to expe­ri­ence feel­ings and emo­tions. This abil­i­ty to express our feel­ings and show emo­tions is a gift from our Cre­ator. Ulti­mate­ly, this capac­i­ty makes us human. A lack of feel­ings and emo­tions can lead to a soci­ety filled with indi­vid­u­als who strug­gle to form mean­ing­ful inter­per­son­al con­nec­tions.

With­out these feel­ings, it becomes near­ly impos­si­ble to make gen­uine, last­ing con­nec­tions or meet very basic human needs. Hav­ing been numb to our emo­tions for so long, we’ve lost the abil­i­ty to process feelings—and con­se­quent­ly, we can no longer ful­fill some of our most fun­da­men­tal needs as human beings.

Then we add Father into the equa­tion. Sud­den­ly we’re expect­ed to con­nect with what seems like an abstract concept—some dis­tant deity. We’re sup­posed to fig­ure out how to bond with God when we can’t even con­nect with a per­son we can look direct­ly in the eyes, lis­ten to with our ears, or touch with our own hands. If we strug­gle to form con­crete con­nec­tions with the peo­ple right in front of us, how can we pos­si­bly con­nect with an unseen God?

This is the para­dox we face: a soci­ety that has become unable or unwill­ing to form mean­ing­ful con­nec­tions with anyone—yet is still expect­ed to some­how find its way to the divine.

Are True Relationships Possible?

We are full of fear, anx­i­ety, and mis­trust. We ques­tion every­thing and every­one. This con­di­tion has been delib­er­ate­ly cre­at­ed by the horde of dark­ness.

When we are tru­ly alone in soci­ety and devoid of feel­ings most of the time, we inevitably lack inti­ma­cy and the abil­i­ty to be inti­mate. Relationships—whether with Father, anoth­er human being, or even a spouse—become near­ly impos­si­ble. With­out these rela­tion­ships, we can­not func­tion as healthy human beings. So now that we’re aware of our cur­rent con­di­tion, what is the solu­tion?

For gen­er­a­tions, peo­ple have exam­ined this very ques­tion. Many have offered their ideas on how to avoid iso­la­tion and achieve whole­ness in mind, body, and spir­it. Yet the ene­my has deceived peo­ple into believ­ing they can become whole with­out Father. This decep­tion is what keeps peo­ple from true whole­ness.

We are Yahshua’s cre­ation, with an inher­ent and intense need for inti­ma­cy with our Creator—like a deeply ingrained pro­gram. With­out ful­fill­ing this need, we will con­tin­ue to wan­der, search­ing for some­thing to fill that deep void.

The Human Condition

Here is an exam­ple: it is much like how neu­ro­trans­mit­ters func­tion, or for some of us, like a shape sorter. Just like a shape sorter, we have many needs, or holes that need to be filled. In par­tic­u­lar, there is a hole in our being that only the shape of Father can fit into. This trans­lates into a core need for the human psy­che. As a result, human­i­ty has been con­stant­ly try­ing to alle­vi­ate this empti­ness, but with­out suc­cess.

These unsuc­cess­ful attempts are sim­i­lar to peo­ple try­ing to fit a square peg into this ornate and unique­ly shaped hole that extends through our heart, soul, and flesh. Fur­ther­more, this square peg rep­re­sents every­thing we as humans do to “self-fill” this divine­ly designed void that extends through­out our being. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, this unsuc­cess­ful attempt results in unful­fill­ment and leads to spir­i­tu­al ill­ness. This ill­ness begins with­in the spir­it and cas­cades its effects down through the soul, final­ly man­i­fest­ing in the flesh. Ulti­mate­ly, with­in the depths of every human lies the need for heal­ing and whole­ness.

Made Whole Once Again

This heal­ing can only begin when we final­ly allow Father to fill that unique space that extends through­out our being. Once filled, it cre­ates an envi­ron­ment capa­ble of form­ing, main­tain­ing, and fos­ter­ing mean­ing­ful rela­tion­ships with oth­ers. Now we are ful­ly capa­ble of feel­ing all our emo­tions and expe­ri­enc­ing gen­uine love and trust. This results in feel­ings of safe­ty and pur­pose, which psy­chol­o­gy defines as self-actu­al­iza­tion. In oth­er words, we become healthy with­in our spir­it, soul, and flesh.

The real­iza­tion of this process brings about trans­for­ma­tion and renew­al through Yahshua. Indeed, the bro­ken places become filled and renewed in Him. This process resem­bles repair­ing bro­ken pot­tery by paint­ing the frac­tured edges with liq­uid gold. As the gold cools and hard­ens, it acts like beau­ti­ful glue that holds the pot­tery togeth­er. More­over, this repair process cre­ates a new, unique look for the once-bro­ken ves­sel. Ulti­mate­ly, our great­est goal is to become whole, com­plete, and ful­filled. The ques­tion remains: how do we accom­plish this trans­for­ma­tion?

Abba’s Powerful and Mysterious Ways Are Transforming

We must first devel­op an under­stand­ing of who Yahshua is. He is the cre­ator of the whole uni­verse and this earth domain (realm), as well as the cre­ator of all dimen­sions and time. Fur­ther­more, we must under­stand that He loves us and desires inti­ma­cy with us. Next, we must under­stand the human con­di­tion (which we dis­cussed ear­li­er). Once we acknowl­edge our needs and real­ize our only hope for ful­fill­ment is through Yahshua, we are tak­ing our first step towards true heal­ing.

After this real­iza­tion, we are now ready to receive the “Good News”—the gospel of Yashua Ha’­Mashiac. This gospel explains what Yahshua did: He sac­ri­ficed His life to cov­er (atone) for our mis­takes. How­ev­er, the sto­ry does­n’t end with Yahshua’s death; rather, it con­tin­ues as He con­quered the grave, over­came death, and returned to life. This ulti­mate act of love sat­is­fied the require­ments of the ancient Torah. Indeed, Yashua suc­cess­ful­ly lived as the per­fect human in our place. As a result of Yahshua pay­ing the price for us (serv­ing our sen­tence), we can now expe­ri­ence com­plete heal­ing. Final­ly, we can now receive the “gold” to fill and repair all of our bro­ken places.

The Romans Road

Next we need to ask Yahshua to save us, acknowl­edge with our own words what He did for us in com­plete humil­i­ty. This prayer is explained best in Romans and is called the “Romans Road” As we embark to trav­el this new road the des­ti­na­tion is whole­ness. As a result of our new­ly found faith, we are once again capa­ble of becom­ing a com­plete and whole ves­sel, as we were when we were first cre­at­ed. Fur­ther­more, in our new­ly found state we can expe­ri­ence full trust and inti­ma­cy with our sav­ior and lover! 

It is not through any reli­gious soci­ety or insti­tu­tion that free­dom is found.  Rather you are form­ing an inti­mate rela­tion­ship with the cre­ator of our known world. It is the begin­ning of a grand and adven­tur­ous jour­ney. 

Think on it like this, we were walk­ing through a dark mine­field, but now Yahshua has grab­bled our hand and is lead­ing us safe­ly through. Abba’s guid­ance through this dark world gives us the oppor­tu­ni­ty to get to know Him inti­mate­ly. Fathers inti­mate and com­plete knowl­edge of who we are brings us even clos­er to Him.

This inti­mate knowl­edge enables Father to speak to us where we are at, like a bridge to our cur­rent lev­el of devel­op­ment. Pre­sent­ing the oppor­tu­ni­ty for Him to speak our inter­nal lan­guage. This lan­guage is unique and only under­stood by Father. With this under­stand­ing in mind, your friends may not always under­stand your unique expe­ri­ences with Father. Con­se­quent­ly, oth­ers do not need to com­pre­hend your rela­tion­ship with Abba.. The design of each per­son­al rela­tion­ship is sup­posed to be unique.

Intimacy With Abba

This per­son­al and unique rela­tion­ship is remark­able, espe­cial­ly as you begin to real­ize how spe­cial your con­nec­tion with Father tru­ly is. We can com­pare our rela­tion­ship with Abba to our fingerprints—each of us has a com­plete­ly unique set that belongs to no one else. These fin­ger­prints rep­re­sent the per­fect metaphor for our rela­tion­ship with Father: total­ly unique, irre­place­able, and spe­cial­ly designed just for us.

One of Father’s many char­ac­ter­is­tics defines Him as cre­ative and dynam­ic. This divine trait rais­es an impor­tant ques­tion: would He repeat a cre­ation? The prece­dent sug­gests He does not. Fol­low­ing this line of thought helps us under­stand that the way Father walks with us, talks with us, and teach­es us will be com­plete­ly dif­fer­ent from the way He relates to any­one else on earth.

This makes every rela­tion­ship with Father unique and spe­cial, and I love this about Him. It’s not only fas­ci­nat­ing, but it also makes shar­ing our expe­ri­ences with oth­ers mean­ing­ful and enrich­ing. Of course, wis­dom tells us that not every aspect of our per­son­al rela­tion­ship is meant for sharing—some very inti­mate moments are meant to stay between us and Father alone. How­ev­er, many expe­ri­ences can legit­i­mate­ly be shared and cel­e­brat­ed with oth­ers.

Powerful and Mysterious Praise Reports

“This rela­tion­ship with Father cre­ates some­thing trans­for­ma­tive. We become a child of Yah, gain­ing an entire new fam­i­ly with count­less sib­lings when we accept Yah as our sav­ior. We are now part of an extra­or­di­nary family—part of some­thing big­ger and greater than our­selves. These share­able expe­ri­ences, such as tes­ti­monies, praise reports, and prayer requests, can deeply encour­age our spir­i­tu­al fam­i­ly.

As fam­i­ly mem­bers, we are each giv­en a spe­cif­ic role to ful­fill. This divine assign­ment cre­ates pur­pose for each of us, but it also means our fam­i­ly suf­fers when we neglect our respon­si­bil­i­ties. Once we under­stand that we are part of a pow­er­ful fam­i­ly and that our actions affect every­one in it, our sense of impor­tance and belong­ing trans­forms. This under­stand­ing helps us real­ize our God-giv­en pur­pose for being here on earth.

Now that we have dis­cov­ered our pur­pose and our place in this pow­er­ful fam­i­ly, we must turn inward and allow Yahshua to begin the heal­ing process.

Brave Enough

Turn­ing inward is an omi­nous task. This top­ic at hand is absolute­ly per­ti­nent, but not nec­es­sar­i­ly desir­able. This next bit of infor­ma­tion I am about to share may be dif­fi­cult. Since the begin­ning of time, we have had to face our inner­most selves to delve deep into a mean­ing­ful rela­tion­ship with our cre­ator. Some of us how­ev­er, believe we can cov­er up who we real­ly are with a false per­sona.

This per­fect and whole imag­ined self appears to sat­is­fy us on the sur­face, mak­ing it appear as if no inward peer­ing is nec­es­sary. This trag­ic thought process is dead­ly. First of all, we can­not deceive Father, as He is omni­scient.  Fur­ther­more, no one who does this gets away with it! We must real­ize that every action we per­form has a con­se­quence. The choice is ours whether the con­se­quence will ben­e­fit us and our fam­i­ly or harm us and our fam­i­ly. 

Clear­ly the cor­rect choice is to drop the per­sona and begin to look in the mir­ror. We under­stand that the only way to walk this road of inti­ma­cy is to be will­ing to sit down, first by pon­der­ing our­selves through eval­u­a­tion and ques­tions. This pro­cess­ing will help us to become famil­iar with our­selves.  We have to look in the mir­ror and face who we are, the good, the bad, and all the despi­ca­ble parts.  Although dif­fi­cult, we must face the dark part of our­selves. 

Face the Darkness

 

NOBODY likes to do this.  Once we face our­selves, we real­ize how much we need Yahshua.  Upon accep­tance of who we real­ly are, we are ready for the next phase of this process can begin. This next step allows our spir­it and soul to begin to be cleansed and puri­fied. This process is designed to be faced alone with Father. Only He is capa­ble to enlight­en us with His truth and under­stand­ing.  No one can help us or do this part for us.

Once we face our dark­ness and real­ize who we are, then growth and devel­op­ment can hap­pen.  In ancient times, this was regard­ed as the alche­my of the soul. Dur­ing the 1600s, Sis­ter Tere­sa of Avi­la con­sid­ered it to be the devel­op­men­tal stages the soul goes through to attain true inti­ma­cy with Yahshua. Yahshua called it trans­for­ma­tion and renew­al. 

How­ev­er you choose to clas­si­fy it or define it, it remains the same for all human­i­ty.  We must face the dark­ness inside of our­selves, by our­selves (with the help of the Holy Spir­it), and then ask for help from Father to make all that dark­ness dis­ap­pear allow­ing light to shine and to replace sin­ful areas with love. 

Once this has hap­pened, we can approach the front door of our soul house, open it and invite Yahshua in to do some house clean­ing. Now that the door has been opened up the divine house­keep­er can begin the cleans­ing process.  As we are cleaned and put into order, we can begin to have more mean­ing­ful rela­tion­ships here on Earth, and we can begin to under­stand what true peace, love, joy, etc is. 

This trans­for­ma­tion and renew­al enables us to be filled by our cre­ator, and share love with oth­ers. Last­ing rela­tion­ships are pos­si­ble now.  

Powerful and Mysterious Love

With this new­found capac­i­ty to main­tain lov­ing rela­tion­ships, devel­op­ing a rela­tion­ship with a life part­ner becomes pos­si­ble. Do you remem­ber the gold that holds the bro­ken ves­sel togeth­er? It is pre­cise­ly this that enables mar­riage. Mar­riage unions can­not suc­ceed when the par­tic­i­pants haven’t been healed by Yahshua. Suc­cess­ful mar­riages aren’t about two halves mak­ing a whole—they occur when both part­ners are will­ing to be renewed and trans­formed by Yah’s dai­ly pres­ence. Trans­for­ma­tion and renew­al are life­long process­es, not one-time events.

This trans­for­ma­tive process that uni­fies two unique peo­ple is like a riv­er con­flu­ence. When two rivers flow togeth­er, nei­ther los­es itself—they com­bine to become one mas­sive riv­er flow­ing with greater pow­er. This new riv­er has trans­formed into a beau­ti­ful new cre­ation.

When this union remains as designed, with con­tin­u­al growth in Yah, it becomes a pow­er­ful and mys­te­ri­ous force. When we allow the wis­dom of Ruach Ha’Qodesh to rule this mar­riage, it con­tin­ues to grow and mature, becom­ing more beau­ti­ful each day. As we have learned, a human being can only be whole when Yah has filled all the bro­ken places with Himself—the gold glue. What a tremen­dous gift from Yah!

This union between two healed peo­ple ter­ri­fies the ene­my, which I call dark­ness. This is exact­ly why dark­ness works so hard to destroy human rela­tion­ships, espe­cial­ly mar­riages. The ene­my accom­plish­es this by cre­at­ing a fake, super­fi­cial world that leaves peo­ple con­tin­u­al­ly search­ing for ful­fill­ment.

Are you search­ing to fill a void in your soul or spir­it? To all of you try­ing to fill this mas­sive void through your own strength, with your own thoughts or solutions—you will nev­er find what you’re look­ing for unless you stop run­ning from your­selves and look inward first. Then you must real­ize that you need Yahshua.

Abba’s Powerful and Mysterious Ways, Concluded.

This is why Father says to us, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ So just stop—all of it—and face your dark­ness. Look up to the light for sal­va­tion and truth. You won’t regret it. Once you do this, you open your­self to a whole world of adven­ture and love. Sud­den­ly, you find free­dom from the chains that once bound you. Then you can begin explor­ing your entire soul and dis­cov­er­ing all that is you, see­ing with fresh eyes who God is to you.

 Final­ly, you can embark on a jour­ney to dis­cov­er what it means to be inti­mate with your Cre­ator in your unique style. Now you write your own life story—a fan­tas­tic adven­ture of tears and joy, cul­mi­nat­ing in sweet vic­to­ry. This becomes the most extra­or­di­nary love sto­ry ever writ­ten, one that you inscribe on your heart as you jour­ney along this amaz­ing path we call life.”
